I think so. Now I believe that we should not have a war anymore and it is important to understand and respect each other's culture.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, war is not a productive way for two cultures to interact with each other, instead of synthesizing it destroys connections and makes scars that can take centuries to heal.
And yes it is important to understand and repsect other cultures. I wonder if you think that even as we here in the west at AIMC are studying, for instance, Japanese methods of acupuncture, do we really do enough to understand the history of the culture and practice on a deeper level?

ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! Actually I was surprising that so many students interested in TCM in California.And they have a higher motivation than some Asian and Japanese.
So, it might be hard to understand the Japanese methods of acupuncture ,
history of the culture and practice on deeper level even to me that is hard to understand between Chinese and Japanese acupuncture methods because there are some difference. I think that is important you have an interest in TCM and I have an interest in your culture. I think that is good enough if our attitude toward to try to understand other culture. We just start to study TCM in here. It would be succeed to next generation from you that as we inherit from our ancestor.
